Aroma:
Malty and rich, with dominant barley notes and subtle hints of toasted grain. Delicate floral hop nuances intertwine with barely perceptible citrus freshness and a spicy hint of cinnamon.
Taste:
Full-bodied and velvety, with a rounded malt backbone. The flavor is dominated by malt with light caramel sweetness, which gives way to refreshing hop bitterness and a long, clean finish. Thanks to 100% barley malt, it has a dense structure and a robust character.
Features:
A classic pale lager brewed according to traditional European recipes. Made with 100% barley malt, three varieties of European hops (including the famous Saaz), and artesian water. Filtered beer with a golden-yellow color and a creamy, thick head. Perfectly pairs with spicy Asian cuisine, grilled meats, and seafood.
History & Reputation:
Singha is the first beer ever brewed in Thailand. Its story began in 1933, when the founder of Boon Rawd, Phraya Bhirom Bhakdi, inspired by European brewing traditions, received royal permission to produce Thailand's first beer. In 1939, King Rama VII officially allowed the royal symbol of Garuda to be placed on the bottle — a mark of the highest quality.
The brand name comes from the mythical creature Singha — the king of the jungle in the form of a giant lion, a symbol of strength and dignity in Thai heraldry. Today, the brewery is run by the third and fourth generations of the founding family, and the beer is exported to more than 50 countries worldwide, remaining the ultimate symbol of Thai brewing.
